I’m Amy and my journey towards founding Thrive Community Care commenced over a quarter of a century ago, triggered by my son’s Autism diagnosis. This pivotal moment ignited my dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities.
In the years that followed, I pursued an extensive educational path, obtaining qualifications within the Community Services Sector. I expanded my horizons by venturing abroad, dedicating my efforts to a secure accommodation facility catering to individuals with complex needs.
Seeking further growth and expertise, I transitioned into out-of-home residential care for young people facing intricate challenges. Subsequently, I delved into mental health outreach, where I delivered psychosocial rehabilitation services. Upon relocating to Victoria, I contributed my skills and insights to The Department of Human Services, initially in an operational management capacity and later in a compliance role involving funded services.
My most recent professional engagement involved serving as a trainer-assessor, imparting knowledge and expertise by delivering Diploma qualifications in mental health Community Services, along with Certificate IV in disability support.
